This is what you will need to bring in:

• Baby’s (Child ‘s) Birth Certificate
• Completed Baptismal registration form
• Both parents need to sign the form IF both parents’ names appear on the baby’s birth  certificate.
• If you don’t reside in Coolidge, we will need a letter of permission from your local  Catholic Church’s pastor.

From the Godparents:

• Baptismal Certificate
•  First Holy Communion Certificate
• Confirmation Certificate
• Church’s Marriage Certificate (If the godparents are married)

Both parents and Godparents need to attend a baptismal class. If taking a class at another Church, please turn in a letter or certificate from that Church.  For everyone’s security we will NOT accept uncompleted paperwork.

Baptism are held every 2nd Sunday of each month in English and on the 3rd Sunday in Spanish at 12:30 pm. Before scheduling the baptism, it is necessary to submit the complete registration package, incomplete packages will not be accepted. Los bautismos se celebran cada 2do domingo de cada mes en inglés y el 3er domingo en español a las 12:30 pm. Couples planning to marry must contact the Parish Office 6 months in advance to make an appointment with the Priest. Please before making an appointment make sure you have the following paperwork in hand unless specify otherwise:

Las parejas que planean casarse deben contactar a la oficina parroquia con 6 meses de anticipación para hacer cita con el sacerdote. Por favor, antes de hacer una cita, asegúrese de tener la siguiente documentación a mano, a menos que se especifique lo contrario:

In the presence of family and friends, the young woman (the quinceañera), often accompanied by fifteen young men and women of her choice (damas y chambelanes), enters the Church in procession, together with her parents and godparents. After the Liturgy of the Word, the quinceañera makes a commitment to God and the Blessed Virgin to live out the rest of her life according to the teachings of Christ and the Church by renewing her Baptismal promises. Then, signs of faith (medal, Bible, rosary, prayer book) which have been blessed and may be given to her. A special blessing of the quinceañera concludes the Liturgy of the Eucharist. After Mass, the young woman is presented to the community. The ritual continues with a dinner and sometimes a dance in her honor.

• To shedule a XV (Quinceanera) parents need to contact the Parish office three months in advance to schedule a meeting with Priest to set up date, time and reheasal for the celebration.

Process:

• On the day of the appointment, you will be provided with the Quinceanera Intake Form; along with the Readings and Liturgical Planning for the celebration.  It is important that the quinceanera have her Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. If not, she has to be enroll in Religious Education Classes and attend to Mass regulary.  

¿Cómo se celebra la Quinceañera?
En presencia de familiares y amigos, la joven (la quinceañera), muchas veces acompañada por quince jóvenes de su elección (damas y chambelanes), ingresa a la Iglesia en procesión, junto con sus padres y padrinos. Después de la Liturgia de la Palabra, la quinceañera se compromete con Dios y la Santísima Virgen a vivir el resto de su vida de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de Cristo y la Iglesia renovando sus promesas bautismales. Luego, los signos de fe (medalla, Biblia, rosario, libro de oraciones) que han sido bendecidos y se le seran entregados. Una bendición especial de la quinceañera concluye la Liturgia de la Eucaristía. Después de la Misa, la joven es presentada a la comunidad. El ritual continúa con una cena y en ocasiones un baile en su honor.

• Para programar una XV (Quinceañera), los padres deben comunicarse con la oficina parroquial con tres meses de anticipación para programar una reunión con el sacerdote para fijar la fecha, hora y ensayo de la celebración.

Es importante que la quinceañera tenga su bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación. De lo contrario, debe estar inscrita en clases de Educación Religiosa y asistir a Misa con regularidad.
